Constructive Playground Design’s mission for the Eco-Play project is to create hyper-green play products and educational materials that will prepare children for the future and advance community awareness of and ways to reduce man’s impact on the environment.

Goals

• To promote environmental awareness in early childhood education

• To create Eco-Play systems that are superior to existing early childhood play products.

• To develop “Green Edge” solutions and systems that provide the most environmentally appropriate products, marketing, and distribution programs that address the impacts of climate change.

• To help parents understand the impact of climate change through learning with their children.

• Become the go-to R&D consulting company to develop or enhance existing play products with hyper-green technologies.

Means

• Address the impact on children of climate change by providing hyper-green play systems.

• Give children direct experience with fighting global environmental damage through play products, supportive educational materials, and programs.

• Create play apparatus that has a positive environmental impact by locating and utilizing such materials as bamboo, hempcrete, tire rubber, and upcycled single-use plastic, recycled high durability cardboard, petroleum-free plastics, sustainably grown and toxin free wood, and repurposed industrial by-products.

Strategies

• Create a working relationship with various suppliers to manufacture our designs.

• Create a working relationship with various distributors to market the products.

• Collaborate with organizations and experts to develop ECE green curriculum materials that use play engagement to help children learn about environmental systems and man’s impact on them.

• To find and collaborate with like-minded play designers and producers.
